When Dr. Thaddeus Idalia’s father, Dr. Jacob Idalia, moved his family from Delaware to a small western town to serve the medical needs of miners, he left Thaddeus behind to pursue his own medical studies. The quaint mining town soon turned to filth and horror as gold-stealing bandits and outlaws took over. In a drunken rampage, the outlaw lunatics set fire to Jacob's house, brutally killing his wife and two daughters.

Wanting revenge, Jacob mixed a deadly batch of medicine and poisoned the town's water tower - slowly and painfully killing himself, the outlaws, and the rest of the townspeople. The filthy outlaws who died at the hands of the murderous Dr. Jacob Idalia are eternally trapped in this wicked ghost town. Their ghosts will forever roam its streets.

Fearing for his life, Thaddeus was forced to hide at the family manor and farm, where he quietly continued studying medicine until he was driven mad by the suicide hanging of his daughter.
